Oh, for sure. That was just a swipe at his limp showings vs. Valuev and Wlad.

I don't like the guy, as i'm sure you're aware , but he still beats most of the HW contenders. It's just a shame he's in the sport for the wrong reasons.

I know. That's fine too. I think he would beat most heavyweights out there not named Wlad. But I hope he doesn't come back.

He's used up whatever credibility he had left, and I just doubt they'd stick him on PPV again, and is he going to come back on regular Sky? I don't think so.

everyone hating on laced up cos of his opinion on haye. I dont understand some people on here. They think there real boxing fans but all they do is talk pure bollox. These people that say they won't watch this fight or that fighter etc aint boxing fans. I love boxing period You could put to unknown fighters in a ring and I'd wonna watch. That's just not true. He said in the post-fight interview that he couldn't get near him and mentioned his toe as being a reason for it. Be it true or not, not a smart move. However, he said on the BBC the day after that Wlad was just too big and too good - broken toe or not. So I don't understand where you're coming from at all.

There's no question that Wlad has had a better career than Haye at all. Of course he has. But I just think it's funny that Klitschko fans will go out of their way to excuse every single loss on the klitschko resume but hang their necks on Haye's toe excuse.

I frequently hear: "He was ahead on points", "he was injured", "he was drugged", "not in his prime yet", "gassed", "his mind was somewhere else" and bla bla bla.

But Haye's excuse is the end of the world and he's a fraud. Oh wait, except when it's time to talk about Wlad's resume - then he was a serious heavyweight and the best in the division other than Wlad and Vitali. I mean, the double standards are not even funny.

I believe Haye's fans simply confuse the hype with the actual substance of his career. With that said I believe unless Haye comes back and does more for his legacy I don't see him as one of Wlad's best wins.

As for Wlad's losses I will tell what annoys me. It is not the fact that Wlad lost or how he lost its the myth of his glass chin. When it is fact that he did in fact gas in two of his losses. And if you believe otherwise than you are A. completely biased against Wlad or B. you don't have a clue what you talking about.

You also complain about Wlad and yet you stand by Haye's excuses when he is in less then an exciting fight. I bet you still believe he broke his hand in the Valuev fight, don't you? And you still have the nerve to complain about double standards. What a joke.

Who actually expected Haye to stay away? Obviously he had to make up a serious excuse for pulling out of a fight for a second time in succession so far from the date, so he over-dramatised the severity of his injury, I'm sure he knew at the time he could come back, and this was probably a fairly standard procedure or certainly no worse than any other shoulder injury which fighters have had and come back from. And again obviously, the guy is still young for a heavyweight and not damaged, and he is just interested in money...he tries to cherry pick the best fights for him to make the most cash, hence the reason for him not fighting regularly.

Unfortunately or not, you aren't gonna keep this guy away till someone beats him convincingly enough (probably and likely by KO), so that he is no longer relevant. He is too unreliable to be a true asset to the division but if he actually fights someone high ranked or works his way up he can at least provide some decent fights and test some of the up and coming fighters.

I think it's pretty clear what he was. A very good cruiserweight, and a decent heavyweight. He's clearly one of Wlad's best wins, I don't think that's debatable at all. As in top 5.

So what if he gassed? Does that not count as a loss? Haye gassed in his fight vs thompson as well - you go on and improve. A loss doesn't mean as much as it is made out to. The thing that annoys me is his fanboys coming up with all sort of excuses for the losses. Just accept that he was not the better man on the night and move on.

Haye is not much on Wlad's record. He has plenty of better wins. Haye is around Mormeck in terms of wins. Both decent cruisers. Don't forget that Haye's best career win is a questionable decision with Valuev. Haye is a bum on Wlad's resume, like Mormeck or Pianeta.
