Panama's Edwin Diaz (16-18, 5KOs), who all of a sudden started winning the majority of his fights in 2009, gets a big opportunity on February 20th in Panama City, when he faces Leroy Estrada (11-, 5KOs) for the WBC Latino minimumweight title. In 2012, Diaz lost a twelve round unanimous decision to interim-WBA champion Jesus Silvestre, but then he big when he moved up to junior flyweight last August, and won an eight round majority decision over Dirceu Cabarca in a WBC FECARBOX title clash.
