Lara is a Jr MW huh? What was Rosado? And I hope GGG doesn't end up fighting Kirkland cause Mr Tom is gonna look like a hypocrite. Well, he already does but you get the point.

If Lara should focus on Mayweather then why is GGG calling him (Floyd) out? After all, they're different promoters and networks.

    All I see is excuses.

Lara fights on Showtime and is Jr Middle, why would he be on our radar?

A unification fight would be approved by HBO, that's the difference

      Tom Loeffler @TomLoeffler1
Lara should call out Floyd, same promoter same TV and he beats both Khan and Maidana, should be EZ fight to make

He's right, Lara should focus on Floyd/Alvarez. Perhaps he wants to move up, in which case he can beat Quillin, then the GGG bout can get made.
It all makes complete sense, but has been dismissed as 'excuses' by those who chose to see it that way. GGGs no more ducking Lara than Floyd was GGG but apparently there's some kind of principle at stake.

It's not exactly the same but Lara is an opponent that would bring a similiar skill set into the ring with GGG. Granted, GGG wouldn't make anywhere near as much money, which is the real reason he wont go to 154 for this fight but his fanbase that posts regularly on NSB would never admit this.

I also saw what you wrote about Andy Lee. You know that his ranking as a top 10 MW has more to do with his promoter affiliation and less to do with his actual wins and losses.
I'd favour Floyd to win that fight, same with a Tim Bradley fight. Lara and Bradley would have a shot, but I think fighters like Thurman and Kirkland have a better chance against Floyd.

I know money is the reason Golovkin won't go to 154 for Lara. You don't need to tell anyone that, it's obvious.

You're entitled to your opinon on Lee, but one thing that can't be argued is that he is a career middleweight and is proven there.

because other fighters have fights, the answer is lara.
As a GBP fighter Lara isn't actually "available".

Yeah, he got a thumb in. Do people Lara is going to have power at 160? Do they think he's going to have better punch resistance? Do they think he's going to be able to evade Golovkin, one of the biggest punchers at MW for 12 rounds?

Its clear GGG will take any big money fight or any opponent he can KO at 160. Cool. But when the other guys at 160 do the same thing don't get mad.

He wants floyd, wont fight Lara, wont fight Ward, but will jump at Lee and is looking for James Kirkland moving up from 154.

GGG's fans would never laud another fighter with his resume, even if they had KO's just like GGG.
It was about time for the big star Ward to be formally introduced to a GGG related thread. (No GGG thread without Ward.)

              This isn't about Quillin.

Why use the network excuse when you keep calling out Mayweather?

You gotta admit its funny to see him tell Lara to concentrate on floyd when GGG has been discussing his dream fight on several occassions.

The **** you talking about? GGG's team is bringing up the network feud when talking about Lara. But if that's the case why are they calling out Mayweather?

Plus someone posted a quote saying GGG is NOT an HBO fighter. That he's just being 'loyal'.

From a competitive standpoint, given the network politics , GGG's resume, HBO ranking him as the best MW and top 5 p4p, and GGG's statement about fighting everyone from 154-168, Ward's name has to come up.

Its not about Ward being a star, its more about the things GGG will do for a big money fight with floyd, and won't do for a ward fight, which would not pay him as much as floyd but surely more than the Adama's, Lee's, Kirkland's, Ishida's, have.
