TBS, 12th February 2006- Danny Green has been installed at number 5 in the latest version of the World Boxing Association (WBA) rankings, Anthony Mundine has moved up one spot to number 4.
Sources from the WBA have stated that the Mundine vs. Green bout, to be stages at Sydney’s Aussie Stadium, and the biggest fight in Australian history, will be for either the WBA International Super Middleweight title or an official WBA Super Middleweight ‘world title’ eliminator.
Green, who is trained by Cuban born Ismael Salas, is currently in Los Angles preparing for what will be the toughest fight of his career, and his first bout against a top 10 fighter on home soil. Mundine will soon travel to northern New South Wales and revert to what he describes as some “Old School” training.
