      Agreed

Yes, nothing to do with his chin. I would say it was a mental issue though more than heart.

His opponents were the biggest punchers in history, but he didnt always absorb their blows.

How is groves a known non puncher? SRR is a contender for best chin ever.

Groves definitely wasn't thought of as a non-puncher going into the fight. He's got big, explosive power and if he'd landed that shot in that same way on anyone else in the division they wouldn't of got up.

hes only been put down 3 times in 90 or so professional fights. 2 of which were slips (off balance against roy jones and samuel peter stepped on his foot) and 1 of them was legit against reggie johnson. he did get up within seconds though in the johnson fight and continued on to win it, so it was probably more of a flash knockdown. i dont think he was hurt there or at any point in his career really

he has also traveled from MW up to HW and fought some murderous punchers (sam peter, holyfield, jirov, mccallum, roy jones, etc.) and his chin has remained sturdy

never heard any stories of him getting dropped in the amateurs or sparring either. id say he has one of the best chins of all time although the punches throughout the years have clearly taken their toll on his health

Duran had a great chin also. I know he got put to sleep by hears but that shot probably would have killed any other former light weight. Went 15 with haggler, walked through SRL best shots at WW ect ect ect

Laporte was NEVER down, not even in 15rd fights, not even when washed up, not even against awesome legends
