Promising Marlon Tapales, the No. 3 ranked Philippine bantamweight outpointed tough Indonesian Galih Susano over ten rounds in the main event of a fight card put together by MP Promotions and Joven Promotions in cooperation with the Royal Mandaya Hotel at the Almedras Gym on Saturday.
Despite dropping Susano in the 9th round, Tapales was unable to take out the Indonesian who, according to MP Promotions representative Joe Ramos, was “in survival mode most of the fight after feeling Tapales’ power in the early rounds.”
