i agree with the TS...Milk Dud and the crybaby are only famous because of their rivals
As much as I'd love to disagree.....it's true. JMM and Tarver are both fighters who'll be remembered for the KO and that's about it. Neither have an outstanding resume and neither are must watch fighters. It's not a bad thing to be known for....but put it this way. Pac and Roy are remembered by everyone and ranked much higher than the two that beat them.

and they both also followed up their career defining KO wins with losses..Milk Dud lost his next fight to Glen Johnson and we all know what happened with JMM and Bradley

Im not saying he is an ATG, but i know alot of people rate him as such,, honestly his resume is very comparable to morales IMO morales might have a slight edge

Regardless of how you view him, its clear he is a better fighter than tarver, both can be linked because of the historical ko wins over roy and manny, but other than that, they dont have much in common

HOF, easily. ATG, not a chance. Resume is way too thin.

slight? c'mon bro..El Terrible has a LEGIT argument for ATG...his resume ****s over JMM and his lower weight run was MUCH more impressive...wins over prime Barrera, Pacquiao, Kevin Kelly, Junior Jones, pocket rocket

and you want to throw in his last hurrah-faded-as-**** fights vs Garcia 1 and Maidana and its not even comparable

How do you think it compares to morales,, alot of people think morales is an ATG, but im not so sure,, i thought he lost all 3 times to MAB, he did beat pac, but other than that, its a bunch of B-level solid wins like zaragosa, jones, chi, famoso, jesus chavez,,, Not exactly top notch A-level p4p elites

I think the topic creator is very wrong on his first post, especially in regards to Marquez. Since 2004, Juan Manuel Marquez has been on Ring's p4p list, with exception to 2006, I think. He has spent the last 9 years on that list. Not to mention victories over the likes of: Marco Antonio Barrera (though, I thought he lost that fight), Juan Diaz, Agapito Sanchez, Orlando Salido, Derrick Gainer, Joel Casamayor, and Manny Pacquiao. I don't see how his resume can be denied. He has displayed a grit and ambition that Tarver definitely lacked throughout his career. I wouldn't compare the two, myself. Marquez will be remembered as one of the greats in the sport and also one of the best to come out of Mexico, I think.

Morales won those. Boxing politics wanted the younger guys to win though. They wouldn't be as marketable losing to that version of Morales.
