this would make a rather interesting match up..I'm surprised no one has discussed this yet?..ur thoughts on why or how either of both would be victorious at 147...IF or when Mosely does beat Vargas, he should come back down and be 1 out of the 3 of Hatton's opponents on U.S. soil ...what u think?

****..i wouldnt see that fight because i really think it is a fight that sugar might lose. But I know sugar would beat floyd mayweather jr. -
interesting fight right now...back then I would have picked Mosley...but the thing is, Mosley has really only shown up bad vs guys who box and move like Forrest and Winky did...Mosley also has fought and held up well vs guys bigger than Hatton...Comment

Yup.. back then i would've pick mosley also... right now im not sure but i think it would still be a good fightComment

hatton would be too strong right now but if it was the old mosley he'd be too quick and slick for hatton, even if mosley destroys vargas which i dont think he will i do think hel beat him tho id still pick hatton to wear him down, mosley just doesnt have it anymoreComment

Ricky looks unstoppable at the moment will destroy anyone at 147 with his body punches - look what he did to KostasComment

I think very similar thoughts in regard to the hypothetical matchup. Mosley would've outclassed him a few years back. Shane has faired poorly against pure boxers. Hatton's not a pure boxer, though. Mosley's losses have been to guys with great jabs that have outboxed him. Winky's a defensive genius, and Forrest's defense looked very good up until Mayorga dropped him with that bomb in the first fight between the two. Like I said, Hatton's not a pure boxer. Mosley should've lost the second bout with Oscar, but it was close, and he definitely won the first one. De la Hoya's a better BOXER than Hatton. That being said, Mosley will be very effective at Welterweight after the Vargas fight, as long as he doesn't suffer permanent damage (which is very possible, as you previously stated). I don't see him beating Mayweather, a world-class technical boxer with great defense, but he could hold his own with anyone else in the division. I think Hatton's an excellent fighter, but I could easily see Sugar Shane pulling the upset with his BOXING skills, which are IMO, superior to the Hitman's.Originally posted by dinokenny ..hatton looks far from unstopable..dont let the wreslting match with tszyu fool u..if they fought today id pick mosley..but after the vargas fight..mosley might not be the sameComment
