I picked rigo over donaire, garcia over salido, bradley over marquez, ive picked right in alot big fights where i was told i didnt know boxing. Haha everybody is wrong from time to time,if wevwere always right we would be boxing genius's and thats just not possible..
From what I hear, Mikey learned to box from their dad. Maidana's last win was very nice, but I wonder how much of it can be attributed to Garcia. I've come to see Robert as quite overrated. I hope it works out for Dulorme.
You don't think Maidana has gotten better since he's been with Garcia?
Not sure how you came to that conclusion, but...okay.
Well, if you think all Garcia did was get Maidana in shape, what makes him such a good trainer? There are plenty of coaches that can do that. Having a few good fighters that win winnable fights and lose winnable fights, doesn't seem impressive to me. In recent memory, Rios got schooled by Abril, who isn't really all that. Rigo practically shut out Donaire, who was regarded as a top P4P fighter. Marcos wasn't expected to beat Broner, but it wasn't a shock either. Like I said, I hope it works out for Dulorme.
You must of had ciger SMOKE up your eyes...
Abril is a bum and after doing that little show to get that pay day, we haven't seen him since..

Those are some nice picks.

Mathysse won 3 rounds in my book, ring generalship plays a big part in scoring a fight...you were talking so much leading into that fight,is that the worst prediction you ever made?? Exposed is a fighter that has so much hype behind him who is the big favorite, and finally gets the chance to prove himself against a guy who is always an underdog and gets beat convincingly..thats exposed in my book
But Mattysse won more than three rounds in that fight. (That, of course, is open to debate.) And ring generalship is a very small component of scoring. (This is not.)

I'm not even sure how long they've been working together. However better Marcos has gotten, the change isn't especially remarkable. It can even be argued that Maidana is simply maturing a a fighter. I wouldn't go as far as to say Garcia is responsible for Marcos's improvement.

PRPP
I saw just fine, mamao.
Abril owned Rios that night. I don't recall my scorecard, but I don't think I gave Brandon more than one round. Richie didn't beat him up; but it's a boxing match, not a streetlight. Abril doesn't fight pretty, but he's effective. He'll never gain a following, but he's definitely not a "bum."

4 at the most for mathysse, but i mean floyd wins the majority of his fights with accuracy and ring generalship,so i guess me and you agree to disagree, which is cool man

They've been together for 4 training camps now.
I see Chino using his jab a lot more, having better footwork for cutting off the ring, throwing crisper combinations and really committing to the body attack. To me he is much improved from the version that lost to Devon Alexander.
