if Martinez wins he'll keep his WBC strap and if GGG wins the WBC will probably strip him and let Canelo have it.
the way the GGG hype is going Martinez Golovkin will be a mega fight. K2, DiBella and HBO did a great job building this fight. all side have invested a lot to make it happen.
I expect it to be PPV
Martinez just has to beat Cotto, not exactly easy but very doable
It's not worth the lawsuit for the wbc if theydont give Rubio a shot. Rubio already threatened and went quiet suddenly for this Cotto fight (one can only assume it's due to some step aside money). The WBC is getting their money regardless, and there's money to be made in Argentina. HBO isnt the WBC so just because they dont want it doesnt anything. Rubio has the WBC by the balls in the sense (if i recall) it's basically court ordered mando due to Chavez jr being such a fu ck up. Normally theyd give him the shaft again but they can't really do it this time around i believe. Hell, if the Cotto fight isnt made he has to fight Rubio. :/... Rubio is getting that shot wether we like it or not and Martinez seems to have a lot of pride for the green belt so doubt he vacates when thats his leverage for Canelo or Floyd. The kind of money Rubio would get to step aside for Floyd (maybe even Canelo ) would probably be too good to refuse. sergio is very popular and Ggg is building up but unless its in Argentina (for serg) neither Sergio or Ggg really have it like that...
Sergio vacating to fight GGG puts him in a position where he has to fight and beat GGG for a title and if nobody wanted him before imagine if he beat GGG. :/.... Sergio, the guy who worked his ass off the hard way (and HAVING to take the tough fights) suddenly finds himself in a weird situation with differing scenarios and options. Good for him but of course it happens as hes on a big downslide. Lol.

Martinez ducks no one. He himself has been clear, as has his manager, that he wants to fight Golovkin.

GGG is nobody. GGG has accomplished nothing. GGG doesn't bring enough to the table in terms of drawing power to warrent Martinez choosing him over other options. In the end, GGG is gonna have to wait his turn. As I've continually said. If he can't get any of the middleweights to fight him, move up. There's no rule that says he can't come back to 60 after dipping his toe in at 68. And even if a move to 68 were permanent. At least at 68 he could get some better fights to make himself a more attractive option to Martinez. Maybe the fight happens 18 months from now at 68. Because that 68 belt would be attractive for Martinez. And at the end of the day. It makes absolutely no difference whether it happens at 60 or 68.

I doubt Martinez will fight Golovkin too until he wants to cash out and has exhausted all other options.

If Golovkin puts up impressive ratings again, on April 26th, a fight between him and Sergio, in the fall, will be huge. Who would Sergio make more money from after Cotto? Unless he rematches Chavez Jr. which is unlikely. Golovkin may be his only choice for another payday.
