He's defending the sport now because of his new show. Take it with a grain of salt, Dana has been subconsciously attacking the sport of boxing for years and that's why his silly little show gets horrendous ratings and is about to move to a paid programming spot at 4AM.

I'm glad the show failed just because Dana is a giant douche and a wannabe tough guy. Besides who cares about some melodrama involving no name amateurs, with a big dose of 'boxing is dying, we need to save boxing' from Dana's lackeys. Good riddance.

Mma is hurting right now. It just lost its two biggest stars (Silva and Gsp) and all they really have left is Jon Jones and the new emergence of Rousey (copping the Mayweather villain role).

Boxing needs no defending, especially from a guy like Dana. It's in a higher class. Comparing boxing to mma is like comparing Victoria's Secret to Playboy.
