The ESPN poll was the icing on the cake. No matter how hard Floyd and GBP try to justify the Khan fight, the U.S fans simply won't give a **** about supporting it.

imo
khan doesnt deserve a fight with mayweather. Maidana, you can argue does because he's a ww title holder. same thing can be said about Thurman to a lesser extent. Obviously most people would prefer a pac/may fight, but thats not gonna happen. Other than those 3 at WW, MAYBE Swift, if he decides to move up or Jr should start defending his title at 154 and fight GGG or Lara. I can bet my life that a ggg fight wont happen. Thats really all thats left for FMJ....Khan, Maidana, Thurman, Swift and Pac. he has 4 fights left on his showtime contract, right? scratch Pac off that list then.Comment

I'm thinking Showtime may have some say though. If he wants that $32 million guarantee he better fight someone who won't lose them money again.Comment

As usual Jeff comes across as the most sensible Mayweather. No one wants Khan, if he'd beaten someone of note in the last year then maybe...Comment

So where's the guy last night who was saying that anybody who said that Khan doesn't deserve the fight don't know **** about boxing? Because it's all about styles make fights, right?
Now a Mayweather himself is saying Khan don't deserve the fight. Does he not know **** about boxing either?Comment

Khan made his own bed, all the khan "fans", mayweather and showtime wouldve had a much easier time selling this fight had khan stayed in the ring and fought, he had the fight with alexander but he kept using dubai as an excuse and then just straight up ducked alexander. Theres nobody but a few khan fans who want to see this fight, earn your shot.Comment

The thing is Khan has never been dominated in a fight before, he's either been caught (Garcia and Prescott) or he's been robbed (Peterson). I think people just hate Khan because they think he's ****y and has a questionable chin. But I've never seen him get dominated in a fight before, he doesn't lose a lot of rounds.
With Maidana, I can't get the Alexander fight out of my head. I know he didn't have a trainer 2 weeks before the fight and he wasn't with Robert Garcia at the time but he got shutout in that fight. He didn't seem to have an answer for Alexander and had difficulties when Alexander clinched with him.
He also got out boxed by Khan.
Khan is a lot more intriguing of an opponent, at least in my opinion.Comment
