World Boxing Council (WBC) strawweight world champion Xiong Zhao Zhong of China, and his Mexican challenger Osvaldo Novoa made weight for their battle on February 5. Zhong (22-4-1, 12 KOs) vs. Novoa (12-4-1, 7 KOs) will battle each other in Haikou City. Novoa, a native of Guadalajara, is represented by Canelo Promotions. The Mexican fighter knows the task will be tough, but he promised to unseat Zhong and return back to Mexico with the green and gold belt.
