Does Zanfer work exclusively with Top Rank?

Marquez wants a title and Porter has one. They should make this happen.

I'd love to see this fight. A non stop come forward aggressive fighter against a master power punching counterpuncher. In terms of promotional issues, it depends if Marquez is signed with Zanfer and Top Rank or just Zanfer. Schaefer recently said he wants Golden Boy to work with Zanfer, so if Marquez is just with Zanfer, it is a possibility. If Marquez is also signed to Top Rank, though, it ain't happening. Real shame.

Maybe if Brook beats Porter, Marquez could fight Brook? Stylistically, it isn't as good a matchup as Porter. But Brook obviously isn't as skilled a boxer as Bradley, and Marquez was almost even with Bradley.

Won't happen. Porter doesn't have Gate and Marquez doesn't have much. With Marquez he has the mexicans, and little else.

For anyone to pick a slow 40 year old counter puncher, who is just a shadow of himself with drug testing in place, should be drug tested himself. Remember what happened to Julio Cesar Chavez Sr in his fights with a youthful Oscar Dela Hoya? He got cut to shreds and embarrassed. Porter is no Dela Hoya, and JMM is no Chavez Sr, but the styles and the timing to both scenarios is very similar. Porter would eat up Marquez, and if JMM chases that '47 title and avoids Pacquiao after he beats down Bradley, then that shows you Marquez looking for the weak link amongst 5 guys holding titles at 147, which that in its own is disgusting. Why do we need Mayweather, Bradley, Provo, Paulie Mags, and Porter ALL with titles at '47.... Just ******. I hope Marquez takes Porter. Both he and Pacquiao would thoroughly end Marquez' career.

IMO, fighting Ruslan is better than fighting and winning the ww title from the weakest of the 4 champions. Floyd, Tim, Maidana and then Porter that's how I rank the champions.
