I would actually like to see this. Marquez is passed his best, but still very capable of beating someone like Porter. S**t most people here thought he'd beat Bradley. And if Porter can beat Marquez, his stock rises big time.

I don't mean to veer off the point of the article, but it says that maidana must face broner? What if maidana gets voted in?

I would assume with Broner's rematch clause with Maidana. Anyone wanting him to step aside would likely have to pay AB a step aside fee. If GBP and Floyd think Maidana does significantly better numbers than Khan, they may consider that. But I doubt it. As for Porter. There's no chance JMM or Maidana are gonna be his next opponent. If I were him, I'd be calling for a Thurman fight. The winner of that would likely become the #1 or #2 oprion for Floyd in Sept.

make it happen...it was marquez who brought up that matchup so there must be some way that fight could happen even with jmm's connection with top rank. maybe he's promotional deal with top rank doesn't have restrictions as to him fighting non-toprank fighters.

Top Rank has options on Marquez he isn't signed to them the same they have options Ruslan and GBP has options on Jhonny Gonzalez.

How porter fighting marquez is even similar to floyd fighting guys 2 weight classes above him just shows how ridiculous and how far reaching you guys will go to discredit floyd. atleast keep all the athletes to the same standard or admit floyd is the best fighter and hes so dam good that u think he should be fighting not only 2 weight classes up but the best at that weight class lol. besides what is there to be scarred of? whos scarred the guy who has fought pac man 4 times i would think if he were a scarred fighter he would of took his draw and been done with it
