I'd like to believe this Mayweather poll is real, but i can spot bs a mile away...Mayweather made up his mind a month ago, this was just a ploy to take attention away from Pacquiao/Bradley(it worked) and to pump himself up. Just give the fans a fake poll and make them feel like they are making a difference.

I don't know why you find this hard to believe, boxing fans know how the UK public supports its fighters.

Khan is up by 4,000 votes now! Guess no Maidana Vs Mayweather unless a 4,000 or people come out of no where and vote

Makes perfect sense. British votes are more than USA + the rest of the American continent. That's why Maidana wins with 60% in every other poll but Floyd's own BS poll. The Con man fight was a done deal, this is just a crappy attempt so as to justify that which has no excuse.

Take into account the language barrier. If the poll was in Spanish, it would work the other way around. In a few words, this poll is what in ********ic theory you would call a charade. LOL It's meaningless. I hope Floyd will fight Maidana no matter the outcome of this poll. If not, it's good for Chino anyway. He got a lot of exposition and he's an even hotter name now.

I looked on the ESPN deportes website which is in Spanish, they have a poll. Only 167 Argentinians voted.

You really think that if the Mayweather Promotions site was in Spanish it would make much difference?

If Maidana is winning 60% of US votes, than Khan is winning 40% of them - add that to 99% of UK votes and it becomes clear why he is ahead.

That's assuming Floyd actually follows the poll. Who knows what he does, he never directly said he would fight whoever won the poll. He certainly implied it, but never directly said it.

After everything Floyd has done in the past nothing would shock me. If he wants to fight Maidana he will, and he will spin it his way. However, this poll was probably just made to justify the Khan pick, because anyone with common sense knew Khan was gonna run away with this poll eventually.

I'd say ESPN en espaņol has almost 0% of the Argentinian sports web audience, which is monopolized by local websites. And I don't think someone has campaigned to drive votes to that site. As for Mayweather Promotions, it is in itself a website written in English, so the language barrier can't be avoided that way. The poll might be meaningful pointing to the American and British public. Argentinians are simply out of the picture.

Even if this poll has Khan winning 55:45, with all the negativity Khan has been getting in the last couple days, how can Floyd announce Khan as his opponent? That will be so damn embarrassing. In the other bigger votes like ESPN Maidana is far ahead: http://espn.go.com/espn/fp/flashPoll...ollId=4149443#

Floyd should just fight Maidana, its very hard to sell the Khan fight now with all the negativity Khan has been getting, just because hordes of UK Twitter fans voted for him in this poll, these people arent buying US PPVs anyway.
