                I feel like he was probably a couple a fights away from a title shot and did not want to suffer a major setback. R.I.P GONZALEZ.

                  Oscar Gonzalez, 23-years-old, officially passed away on Monday afternoon - 37 hours after arriving in the intensive care unit of the Espanol Hospital of Mexico City. Gonzalez suffered a severe brain injury on Saturday night in his fight with Jesus Galicia at the Polanco Forum. Gonzalez fainted during the tenth round and was immediately taken away by a medical crew.

                    t was a boring, non-action/few punches landed bout...several MX papers had good articles from ref Saldana as 2 what happened...Gonzalez got up after the KD & collapsed, unconscious, in Saldana's arms & he laid him on the floor...very limited boxer just trying to make a living supporting his family...RIP young man, & much strength 2 his wife & children...
