complete bull............HBO was trying to do a ring of PPV fights for golovkin. the first would be froch vs golovkin (& if golovkin beat froch it would set up A lucrative fight with ward) ward would be on the under card fighting chavez. (golovkin just won't agree to the ward part though)

That source is all about Carl Froch, the info comes from Eddie Hearn and Carl himself. The writer added his own speculation about Ward-Golovkin - the part you're somehow relying on. Even the last line is saying HBO want Froch to fight Golovkin because no one else is willing.

& wards last quote was "golovkin doesn't call me out or doesn't want the fight" basically mocking golovkin for his lack of motivation for their fight.

All Ward's comments are the same on a Golovkin fight. You can pretend he wants the bout if you like, but having followed his comments on interviews for the last year I know his approach to the bout. It's always 'down the line', or 'not yet', 'bigger fight in the future', it's never "I want that fight" like he does about Chavez or Froch, he even offered Groves a fight but never Golovkin.

Carl Froch on the other hand has stated he would like to fight Golovkin on a number of occasions, no reticence and no 'down the line'. The UK fans on the other hand want to see him against Groves.

Eventually, the bigger name, better opponent will have to fight him. Eventually.

GB will never allow Canelo to breathe the same air as him, but one of the other top guys will eventually be forced to fight him.

The dude could fight many names at 154 and 160, but you think Martinez, Mayweather, Canelo, or Cotto want any of that? Hell no.

It's not going to be them, but another up and comer who will take the shot, who has something to gain. Maybe someone like Lara.

But in his immediate future, the one thing that is promising is that HBO I imagine wants to put him in the best fights possible, I don't know how much weight they can pull, but hopefully they want to put and end to this charade.

It's the fans fault too. If we tune in to watch Cotto - Martinez or any of the crap Canelo fights, there's no financial reason for them to be forced to fight GGG.
