Lightweight fight? Mmmmm...I would rather this match-up had been at 130. Gamboa didn't look so hot at 135. Then again, Yuri has much more motivation with Garcia, and he should finally have a real coach in his corner. This is going to be a good fight...50/50.
With that much of inactivity on Gamboa's part,
I am confident Garcia takes this fight by a clear UD.
Not to compare Gamboa to Ali, but Muhammad had a 3 1/2 year layoff and fought two tune-ups before facing the then heavyweight champion of the world, Joe Frazier. I'm not happy about Yuri's inactivity, but I'm beginning to wonder how much it'll truly affect his performance versus Garcia. Some of us may be surprised.
Given how much Gamboa was being caught by counters in his last fight, and given his inactivity, I see Gamboa being stopped on a counter. Garcia will probably hit him with a counter hook that will drop him. Eventually, Garcia will likely finish Gamboa. Gamboa's poor defense and difficulty penetrating a high guard will give him fits against Garcia.

I believe gamboas speed, power and foot work will be the difference

Could be. But Yuri didn't look blinding fast in his last two fights. And he was getting countered by Perez, who isn't all that. Then again, Garcia is a huge fight for Yuri. We might see the old "Ciclon." I can't tell you how much that would please me.
