Comments Thread For: Juanma: Ponce Rematch is Most Important of My Career

They first met five and a half years ago, and Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez stopped Daniel Ponce De Leon in the first round to capture the WBO super bantamweight title. On March 15th in Bayamon, Puerto Rico - Lopez (33-3, 30 KOs) and Ponce De Leon (45-5, 35 KOs) will collide for a second time at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum. When Juanma defeated Ponce, it created a new rising star. If he loses next month, even he admits his career could be over. Showtime will televise the contest.

I have Ponce stopping him easily JuanMa is down to empty in almost every attribute a fighter needs, no punch resistance, balance, speed, his activity is dropped to nothing during rounds, technique is sloppy........he still has a bit of power but other than that................

If he is willing and by any chance he has the opportunity is fair that he do it. Everybody can have several problems and you never know.

perfectly said. this guy looked worse and worse with his last few fights. still has pop but looks more shot than shane mosley . ponce has been down more than a few times but still puts on a somebody going to get ko'd type of fight.. still entertaining. would love to see ponce knock juanma out for good.
