Groves was defending himself, he was making himself a mobile target. There would have been a lot less uproar had Froch been stopped when stumbling all over the ring in the first round.

On topic, it depends on who Froch fights. I would consider it a duck if Froch fought Ward in a strange way. GGG would be more than acceptable. Jr would be a cherry pick, but I would totally understand the reasoning behind it.

Ref helped Froch secure a victory, debating who would have won and how is pointless, nobody can be 100% sure, it was a ****** stoppage which robbed both fighters of a real conclusion and result, however Groves suffered the bigger punishment.
