Comments Thread For: Photos: Golovkin Beats Downs Adama Mega Gallery

WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin beat Osumanu Adama by TKO in the seventh round, displaying his impressive speed and accuracy in flooring his challenger three times. The Kazakh fighter successfully defended his WBA belt for the tenth time, and IBO for the seventh, to improve to 29-0, including 26 KOs. Golovkin landed a powerful right hand to send Adama to the canvas at the end of the first round. A quick left hook knocked Adama down in the sixth, forcing an eight count. Golovkin put Adama down again with a left jab in the seventh for another count before a left hook prompted the referee to stop the fight. Adama's record dropped to 22-4.

This guy is the next Lucian Bute. You guys keep putting this guy on a pedestal but he hasn't beat anyone with a pulse. GGG should get in there with Sturm or Soliman if he wants tested with a crafty veteran. This is one of the worst middleweight divisions ever. A 40 year old jr middleweight has had to clean the division. Get GGG in with Geale or Quillin or bring Pirog out of retirement.

He would, if they would agree. Sturm in particular. Incidentally, I think Golovkin wipes Sturm out.

He didn't drop a round, unlike your faves Quillin v N'Dam and Rosado.
