According to overseas reports in Eastern Europe, "Irish" Andy Lee is (31-2, 22KOs) being discussed as a potential option to face WBA/WBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26KOs). Lee has won three fights in a row since getting stopped by Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in 2012. Golovkin is scheduled to return on April 26th, on HBO, at The Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden.

Bad fight. Lee has done nothing since losing to Chavez Jr. And from what I hear Kirkland is fighting on the undercard and Geale doesn't want the fight. So this might be the only option. I can't get the McEwan fight out of my head when I think of Lee.
