The Official Miguel Cotto-Sergio Martinez Master Thread

Last night, more than ever, I felt like bringing quotes up to embarrass all of those clueless sissies that had no idea what they were talking about but today the joy from last night is enough.
Just a beautiful night of boxing... I saw Maravilla suffer and be humiliated like I wished. It was so satisfying watching that sissy get beat down brutally and hopping around the ring all hurt.
That's what you get for ducking Golovkin *****!!!!!!! Beat the **** down by a 154 pounder biotch!!

I dont think Martinez expected the smaller Cotto to hit that hard and be as quick/fast.
Also Cotto set traps all night and had Martinez moving left in the direction of the lef hook all night.
That left hook busted his ear drum and made him bleed out his ear! It was brutal.
Sergio was caught on an ambush was shocked and unable to regroup.
War Cotto!

I got to eat some crow. I didn't see last night's version of Cotto showing up and flattening Martinez. I guess it's like the saying goes... That's why they make the fights.

Cotto though......I hope to see him against Canelo or GGG next because I really think he gives either guy a run for their money, really, I think he can beat both guys. When I re-watched the fight this afternoon, admittedly, I did see some glaring opportunities that Sergio could have exploited but other than a few spots where Sergio could have countered, Cotto looked like a monster across the board. The power he was carrying was pretty scary. Good win for Cotto and a good career for Sergio, he should enjoy what he did and call it a day.
