He did well against Zab, but I agree. Collazo as your first fight at 147 has upset written all over it. I know I was the same guy that said he could beat everyone at 147 besides Manny and Floyd, but your first fight at 147 should be against a Berto.

No one faulted Floyd or Manny for fighting guys like Gatti and Diaz at their first fights at 140, so same thing here.

This. I think Paulie and Collazo have certain things that could give Garcia some issues, but I'd rather see Collazo get the match-up.

i think danny should stay at 140 for a couple more fights. dude makes 140 liek nothing and has a real chance to place himself among and perhaps even surpass tszyu and pryor as the greatest light welter ever. after that he can move up and build on that legacy, he has so many years left in boxing there is no reason to rush things.

but i guess in this day and age everyone wants fighters to move up asap regardless of the circumstances

I don't know, for all the talk about Alvarez making weight, Danny Garcia looked the worse off of all the fighters at the weigh ins that day. Not bad, but a little more ****** in than he should be.

If Collazo is somehow still has good as he was some years back and his chin is still sturdy he is live vs Thurman and more than live vs garcia moving up in weight.

Good fight for a welter debut for garcia,,

collazo, pauli, soto-karass, are all good candidates for garcia

I agree, then maybe the winner can fight guerrero and or maidana, throw in a coming back berto in that mix, then that winner can fight Bradley..........Assuming Bradley continues winning, he is the fight before you fight Floyd. Assuming pacquaio keeps winning, Garcia can have two roads to conquer at 147, a pacquaio or Floyd victory is career defining of course, but you have to throw in Keith Thurman, nobody gets to Floyd until they beat the new crop of gladiators at 147, maidana is there, and don't forget a revamped lucas matthysse to move up to 147, its deep

This is an epic match up, but i think Collazo should fite Paulie in a title eliminator at 147 lbs in a Barclays Brooklyn showdown and winner getting a world title fite and given they win they should fite Danny next by then he'd be at 147 lbs.
