I actually miss Dirrell. He could be one of the few legitimate challenges to Ward at SMW.

Dirrell had a good thing going but he quit, the job and on himself. The AA fight was his for the taking but he didn't have it in him. It's sad.

you can't blame him for the Abraham loss, dude legitimately slipped in the corner then got KTFO by one of the hardest p4p punchers in boxing at that time.

After that though, I think to say he gave up is a fair assessment, he would have been welcomed back on TV but he never had the stones to get in there and trade with a top fighter again.

He didn't lose the fight. He schooled Abraham, and it was a DQ.

One of the biggest wastes of talent in recent memory. Saw his brother Anthony at the Broner vs Maidaina fight and was gonna ask him what's up with Andre, but it just seemed like a waste of time.

I think it's not so difficult to find out...
After the Abraham fight he said he got brain injured...
... Then he was to fight his old buddy Ward in the Super Six...
... Basically, that's it: it seems he didn't want to compete with his old friend for the 168 crown...

yeah it sucks. I almost feel like I got cheated out of watching a world class fighter in his prime. He looks healthy and ready to go whenever I see him but I guess something is up

I thought he was one of the most talented in the division, and the possibly the sport. But we never got to see what could have been. And even though he's with 50 now, I don't see him having any urge to jump back in the ring. Maybe he just doesn't have any interest any more or what.
