It really puts into perspective how weak his resume is.

Maybe in terms of historic resumes I would agree with you, but his resume is much better than everyone today, except for a handful of guys like manny, floyd, hopkins

He has fought everyone at his weight, except for bute, but bute couldnt beat froch,, had he beaten froch, bute-ward would have happened

And he is still young,,, Hopkins resume was crap til he was 36 and even by the time he was 40 it still was worse than ward's

His lack of activity has really hurt him the last few years, but some was due to family stuff like marriage and babies and some was injury related,, Its not like he pulled a floyd and just sits out for long stretches for no reason

He hasn't taken many meaningful fights. Hopkins resume at 40 was still better than Wards even if it wasn't very good and most guys resumes today aren't very good, it it doesn't change the fact that Wards is incredibly thin.

hopkins had tito,, and a bunch of useless title defenses vs joppy, oscar, eastman, lipsey, etc

Ward has beaten dawson, froch, kessler, bika, abraham,,

Hopkins has the single biggest win between them, but after tito,, his resume sucks til his lhw run

froch, kessler, bika, dawson, abraham arent ATGs but much better than echols twice, allen 3 times, eastman, fat oscar, mercado, etc

Ward's resume is pretty thin, but i cant think of anything he could have done over the past few years outside of jumping up to lhw, but up until last year it was a pretty dead division with no excitment
