Comments Thread For: Geale-Wood Undercard Coming Together For February 19

Grange Old School Boxing in association with DUCO events New Zealand invites you to return to an old school fight card, at an old school venue when 3 time world champion Daniel Geale returns to the ring to do battle with WBA #13 Garth Wood for the I.B.F. Middleweight Pan Pacific title, headlining a 7 fight card of eagerly anticipated bouts.

Still highly rated on the world scene Geale needs to be impressive against Wood in order to maintain his world ranking and status, however following a verbal exchange at the press announcement “The Real Deal” is on notice that Garth believes he has the motivation, the game plan and the punch to put Geale to sleep and capture the attention of our boxing public once again.

So Geale and Wood are fighting for some phony IBF title. Expect him to chase Sturm and stay well away from GGG.

Sturm and Martinez are both the more lucrative options, Geale also has a better chance since he beat Sturm fair and Sturm might want to avenge that. If not, Soliman is the mando

Soliman is the mandatory to Sturm but seems like the IBF are getting slow to order that fight. Sooner that fight is made the sooner it can be done with.

Sturm is allowed one voluntary. So maybe he picks Geale, maybe he goes easy for money then Soliman

Somewhere somehow Murray will read this and try his hardest to push for a Sturm fight
