  • It's a shame boxing has become like this, and it's a shame bradley wasnt ready to gamble and rob the bank and goldenboy. Mayweather has never IMO been the most entertaining fighter to watch but his 0/status made him the biggest bankrobber. Bradley had pretty much the same ingredients to come to similar levels, the only small thing lacking was a bod boy persona.

But Hey if Hulk Hogan can become a villain for $. Maybe Bradley could have played the same role and make some serious serious money. Look at Bradley's resume he is legit as F. He could have been a new Mayweather at this moment it seems he atleast has the skills. What if he manages to beat a big name as pacman, i dont think he'll ever make mayweather or Pacman money.

Plus you don't really know that they would do that with Bradley at GBP nor how much he'd make.

He'd make north of a Million for a Garcia or Broner fight for example most likely.
I Highly doubt he'd make anywhere near 6m for Floyd, who's pretty stingy. Plus Bradley is a bad pick for Floyd's preferred dates of may 5 and Mex indep day

        • I also genuinely believe with this bradley move that it is game over regarding floyd vs pacman.

Beforehand i figured bradley's next move to show the future...
          Well it is clear boxing=business.
everyone stay in their lane HBO or showtime. we will never know who is the best of this era. in the WW. just imagine bradley beating Pacman twice...
sad sad sad, i just hope to find out someday for what it is worth if bradley took the time to at least listen to a counter offer from goldenboy/showtime.

          • The FIX is in Bradley shall win again

Pacman is screwed if it goes to the cards, since he didn't sign an extension and is already a washed up over the hill star. Bradley has more incentive for Top Rank and HBO.

Why else do you think HBO has been trying to put Pacman in with younger guys who are hungry? First they put Rios who had a heavy punch and was aggressive, than they wanted to Put Pac in with Ruslan a concussive puncher, than Mikey Garcia another younger fighter, they want one of these young guns to dispose of Pacman already because they see Pac as old and faded and worthless after his KO to Marquez. a younger fighter has more upside for them.

Let's say Bradley beats Pacquaio, what's next? Provodnikov 2? Rios?

I can understand his line of thinking because he's likely to make a lot of money with his new contract but seems to me the better idea in the long run would be to jump ship.

Imagine if he were to beat Pacquaio them got himself into fights with Garcia, Thurman, Matthysse, Porter, Maidana, Broner etc etc etc the list goes on and of course Mayweather.

that's just one side of the equation...what if he loses to pac? that's a big possibility and for sure bradley considered that when he made that decision to stay with top rank. he loses and the interests from other promoters will greatly diminish. they might sign him up but they won't pay him as much as top rank. he was able to negotiate a minimum with top rank win or lose.

A source is not needed. HBO has a bigger budget and less stars to pay. This is what happened this year.

Who cares. Bradley knows GBP would have him fighting on undercards for much cheaper. It would be Bradley vs Porter on May 3rd or on Canelos undercard.

GBP doesn't even like boxers especially with small fanbases. Bradley would be Alexander, Porter, Thurman and Lara status.

They couldn't make a counter offer because he was not a free agent. It would have been tampering. He did what was best for him. No shame in that. Just wish he would leave it at that instead of trying to put blame on the other guys for the fights not happening. Just enjoy your spoils n roll out. At least he got better than Mayorga did in that Don King deal years ago with all them guaranteed purses.

This is a good post. Bradley has incredible value to TR as an opponent for manny and ruslan and to GBP as an opponent for floyd and Danny. After that, unless he wins, its hard to see him being a hadliner of a large card.
