Anthony Mundine says he is still on track to take on the likes of Floyd Mayweather by year's end despite his disappointing effort against Gunnar Jackson.

By all accounts, Floyd Mayweather loves a flutter.

He is nicknamed "Money", after all.

But even the world's best pound-for-pound boxer would not gamble on a bout with Anthony Mundine judging by the ex-NRL star's unconvincing performance against Gunnar Jackson in Brisbane on Wednesday night.

Mayweather is no stranger to placing huge bets - he added to his reputation by outlaying almost $A15 million on next week's Super Bowl.

he transitioned from Rugby which is a big deal in Aus and was a huge name in it and was at his peak when he jumped shipped so that makes it a big deal. Also in Australia they even consider IBO champs legit hell even WBF is ok so its lack of big names that help Mundine's cause.

Just thinking it sucks because I don't see those being worth 45 bucks. but if they like it, more power to them.
Lara/Mundine could be that.... especially if they offer him Mosley money
