I thought that was Korobov's father though. I think he was the one who wanted Matt to go slow. They finally got 4 fights in, but it's now or never for this guy. I think they're just trying to position this guy into a winnable title shot... and the only one available is GGG. Korobov said Arum would try and make it if he won....so there's that.

Not just about losing. Vanes was given 3 changes on HBO and didn't deliver good performance all 3 times. He was sort of a victim of circumstances since all 3 opponents were guys that were hard to look good against, but there's only so much Arum could do with him given his 154 stable. So it's better for both that they parted ways.

Decent test.... if I remember the Boo Boo fight.... was not active at all and gave the fight away.
