  • Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder Aims To Make a Statement in Puerto Rico

Golden Boy Promotions CEO, Richard Schaefer, expects heavyweight ****er Deontay Wilder (30-0, 30KOs) to make a statement when he returns on March 15th at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Wilder will face his toughest opponent to date in the form of Malik Scott (36-1-1, 13KOs).

Scott, a 6'4 lanky fighter with boxing ability, went to a controversial draw with Vyacheslav Glazkov in June of last year - where many felt he won - and then saw himself a victim of a highly controversial six round TKO loss to Dereck Chisora in July - where Scott beat the count and seemed fine, but the referee still ruled it as a knockout. Scott returned last week in Washington and stopped Grover Young in two rounds.

The Bronze Bomber is finally fighting someone with a pulse, I am thinking upset.

So much so I will go and put money on Scott, I hope to odds are good when they put it on the board.

Showtime cards are killing it. Nice job. Garcia-Herrera Wilder-Scott and Leon-Juanma is a pretty solid card.

I'll be on the lookout for those unlucky posters hoping for an upset....it ain't happening. Wilder will step up his game and demolish this dude inside of 5 rounds.

Good choice of opponent for Wilder. Winner should fight the Arreola-Stiverne victor.

Hmmmm. He has a 30% Ko ratio. No worries there.

Last year got Kod by Dereck Chisora!:AOR: to come back to fight a guy 7w 11L.

Ya gotta know how this is gonna end!

should be a good one. Eventually Wilders wooden legs will fall and he cant get up, lol but Scott doesn't have much to keep Wilder off of him with.
