His bests wins are probably his past few fights:
Juan Carlos Burgos: Two time world title challenger ranked in the top 5 at 130 who got ripped off against Rocky Martinez.

Rocky Martinez: World titlist (who should have lost to Burgos) who was ranked in the top 5 at 130. Only official loss to Ricky Burns. Had never been knocked out.

Juan Manuel Lopez: Former world featherweight titleholder. Probably a bit past his best because of the Salido and Mtagwa fights. Still, only losses to Salido.

Orlando Salido: Regarded as top 3 at featherweight. Multiple time world titlist. Beat Juanma. Dropped Gamboa. Hadn't lost since Gamboa. Would go on to win another world title.

Jonathan Barros: Former world title holder who beat Celestino Caballero. Had never been knocked out.

All in all, a fairly solid resume the past few fights. Now if only he'd fight Uchiyama and/or Gamboa.

So why is he so hyped? He has fought nobody. Martinez Lopez? That's it?

Quit with Salido bc of his nose? Wow

He's hyped because he has a good recent resume and passes the eye test. He has fantastic defense and one punch power. And why should he continue hindered because his opponent decided to cheat?

People see potential in him based on the boxing abilities he has shown. His technique , power, precision in his punches, and his composure in the ring just to name a few attributes.

I don't see what the problem is with fighters being hyped. In reality all young fighter take the same road they feast on weak opposition and former champs to build their name and gain exposure, hence the Hype. Most don't gain the same exposure but in some way or another are hyped. The problem I would have is if said fighters level of opposition continues to be inferior without challenging himself . While Mikey might not have a strong resume his level of opposition is growing steadily to the point where he'll fulfill the hype or as everyone likes to say he'll be "exposed".

All I see is potential backed up with a solid skill set at this point. As ****** as this might sound, I'd like to see a rematch with Salido. That fight was getting VERY interesting.

But yeah, at this point he is nothing more than potential but let it be clear; not your average up and coming fighter potential. Garcia has a very promising foundation.

Salido is a legit win, though he got a pass for leaving with a broken nose when Salido got rougher and showed not quit in him, same fans shat on Ortiz for retiring in his corner with his jaw broken in 3 places.

Burgos is not a bad win.

                  The rest suck.

Go to boxrec and they will list every pro fight he ever had and the record and ranking of everyone he fought and how the fights went including the scoring of the fight and any knock downs that happened in the fight. Just put his name in a google search and boxrec will have him under Mikey Garcia boxer.
