Take the emotion out of it! Cotto is 3rd in ppv sales behind -
Mayweather & Pac - Martinez has nowhere as many fans as cotto, because if so he would be headlining his own ppv's. When you are your own brand you settle for nothing. It has taken Cotto over 10 years to establish his brand! The people negotiating on both sides know this, this is why his name comes first! I doubt Cotto enters the ring last, but as far as signage(posters / flyers/ commercials etc..) goes he needs his brand 1st because it is the one that will attract the fans, Martinez is not bigger than Cotto.

Puerto Ricans and Argentinians are the highst Latino population in NY, so how can anyone say that Cotto is the one putting a22es on those seats?

Cotto is turning to be a primadona, he should be thankful that he is disputting the middle weight crown. Martinez want to or not has not los a fight in a long time, and Cotto just because he beat an egg beater in Rodriguez figueres he is the star he once was?

BS I hope Martinez beats his a22 down[/QUOTE]

Thats not true by a long shot... if there are more than 1000 argentinians I will be suprised... I live in NYC and will be there...

Team Martinez is playing hard to get and wants more money. That's always been the case, money, not anything else. Unfortunately, they don't have all the cards. Their alternative is GG, who is high risk, low reward.

I understand that Cotto is the draw, but for the sake of respecting the sport of boxing, they should have had Martinez's name first since he is the undisputed champion at MW.

Pacquiao vs Hatton was the same... Hatton was the champ, but became a challenger.

Any I hope the fight gets made just so Martinez can shut up the doubters and slap Cotto around for a bit.

I hope they agree to wear trunks next. Maybe they'll decide to fight in a ring afterwards.
