I don't see how Cotto is being the ahole. The money men always get top billing - Sergio is being a b!tch. He was the lineal/Ring/WBC emeritus champ against Chavez jr. And Chavez got top billing and people are saying that Cotto is being a diva?
I'll give you the Mayweather-Cotto as a good example but Pac,Chavez n Oscar were champs too. How is Sergio being a "B" when he is the lineal champ and Cotto has never even fought in the weight division? Cotto is being kinda being a diva. He is the challenger and should respect the championship. On the flip-side Sergio could take this like B-hop did with Tito and use it as a springboard to get a fight he knows he is gonna win anyway and add a big name scalp to his record. If Cotto couldn't KO Floyd and he actually landed some good punches I doubt he can KO Sergio. His only shot is if Sergio is injured again. If Sergio can move like normal it spells trouble for Cotto.

Certainly is...Its a shame a fight of this size between these two type of fighters has seen a "major hurdle" like this.

Both sides were stating their case for first-name billing, but a deal was reached where the fight will be called "Cotto-Martinez" - according to Martinez's adviser Sampson Lewkowicz.

Cotto (38-1, 31KOs) will challenge Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs) for the WBC's middleweight crown at New York's Madison Square Garden. HBO Pay-Per-View will carry the card. Lewkowicz says all of the terms have been agreed up on their end, and now the fight is sitting on Cotto's lap.

Forums are the best, they are filled with some of the funniest post that have no logic behind it at all. This is business and Martinez has done nothing in the sport of boxing on his own to generate big business. How many PPV's has Martinez had? How many arenas has he sold out? What other big name fighters has he faced?

Martinez knows this is his biggest payday, yet he is going to act like he is in the driver seat? He has a title but titles don't mean a thing in the sport of boxing once you won one. It's all about, how many people you bring to the arena as well as how many PPV's you generate. I didn't see Canelo offering Martinez 10 million for his comeback fight. That money was offered to the business generator, arena filler, PPV number Cotto.

"Its business, nothing personal", I guess Martinez hasn't heard of that phrase.

Cotto will be doing the Tebow a few times in this fight.

                Pay homage!

Precedent has long been established. If you're the bigger star, you're the "A" side. If this was Mayweather instead of Cotto, no one would be saying shi+. Besides, this is a business move, Miguel is trying to establish his own precedent; so going forward, this can be used as a bargaining chip with other fights. Not really a big deal.
