They're both boxer/punchers in the purest sense of the term, so they're similar in that regard, but anybody that would legitimately try to compare the two on a technical level is naive at best and ignorant at worst.

A prime Julio Sr. is hands down the superior fighter : He was more experienced professionally and much more conscious (and talented) defensively.

I get that you ****s love Golovkin (I do, too), but this comparison is way too premature.

I think Golovkin will struggle at 168. His power will not have the effect it has on smaller guys and you got bigger, and many faster guys at 168 and 175, but he is fun to watch.

He is a lot like Chavez. He always coming forward on the attack but he does not get hit much. He seems to have a great chin like Chavez. He has good stamina and a high work rate like Chavez. He has good combos to the head and body like Chavez. Chavez was a two handed puncher and he could hurt and KO fighters with punches to the head and body. GGG is a bigger puncher than Chavez and knocks out everybody he fights.
