    • You can't teach humanitarianism to anyone. It's Floyds business what he wants to do with his money. He apparently doesn't feel that his good fortune should be shared with those in need. It's not surprising coming from him. A very talented extremely wealthy athlete who needs a little more schooling in what it takes to be a man.

well unfortunately there isn't a global law where the vast rich from each country are obligated a particular tax to equilibrate global poverty like ******* socialist global protocols. the rich and political super powers enjoy the status quo of Money.

how many Rich people of the world have sacrificed their health for entertainment vs those born into it?

because Floyd is synonymous to NSB, you'd think such debates would get a pass...

          • lol He doesn't get what "charity" means, apparently...

He's free to do what he wants with his money, of course, but he has a real narcissist way of expressing it. And didn't he say that he "helped the less fortunate" but simply didn't advertise it like others do? Total BS lie unless he's changed his stance since then.

Agree. I'm so against the socialistic notion that those with wealth should give to those who don't deserve it. I do believe and its only MHO that if one is fortunate to have been blessed with wealth they might find it in there heart to donate to charities that support pediatric cancers (St. Jude's e.g.) or other worthy causes. We don't know. Floyd may donate to those groups. I just think he would probably be boasting about it if he did.

                  • from what i can tell, floyd's donated more money than a lot of people in the thread are ever going to make.

that said, he wasn't very classy in the interview. "what has africa done for me?" dude, do you need the help?

kids in rural, poor africa sometimes have to walk several miles just to get clean water. he clearly doesn't udnerstnad that charity is need based if he thinks he's entitled to something from africa in exhcange for helping out people who literally ahve to walk 3 miles to get a drink of water.

I agree with you 100%. In fact, if Floyd did contribute under the radar, it is very very poor social responsibility in regards to publicity. Seeing how Haymon would essentially mastermind this, I'm willing to bet that Floyd doesn't give as much or else we'd know.

HOWEVER, Floyd is growing, and as he grows he matures along with his investments. He had a dramatic life with his pops putting more attention on other fighters and De La Hoya, but he needs to grow out of that, as he takes accomplishments too personally which is why he started too boastful with money. It has declined since.

I'm more than sure a new Mayweather JR. in the years to come will really change many views upon him, and unfortunately when that time comes, who knows, Pac might turn like Foreman and really give all the props to Floyd...

We all die alone, so men in one time or another give up the demons and just become honest. Better late than never.
