Fight fighters with little to no defense, like Arce, WV2, and other decent fighters like Montiel and Mijares who do use some forms of defense but are not exactly Whitaker. If he will fight a Mexican, fight them in California...don't fight in Vegas again, or states he has no business being in.
If you were Rigondeaux manager...

You have the right plan, guys who will bring the fight to him for good action, smaller weight classes have alot of Mexican fighters so he should be in Cali alot, and try to be a better closer and a bit more offensive.Fight fighters with little to no defense, like Arce, WV2, and other decent fighters like Montiel and Mijares who do use some forms of defense but are not exactly Whitaker. He needs to become a traveling champion, period. As good as he is, nobody cares about him, and as much as the Cuban posters on here would hate to admit it, not even Cubans care about him.
If the promoters could make money by marketing the Cuban fighters in Miami, they would. But I guess some people like to believe there's just a conspiracy against Cuban fighters.Comment

Miami is a horrible sports town. He isn't going to do much better there just because of the Cuban population and even if he gets higher attendance it isn't going to make his fights more attractive for HBO or showtime to air.Comment

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Rigondeaux peaked too soon. He should have fought bums to build his resume and fan base like other fighters do.Match him against weaker opponents and have him actually be offensive to give the illusion he is. That's what he has to do straight up. His unwillingness to blow out the lesser guys and his desire to coast regardless of difficulty is what's hurting him more than anything.
My 3rd plan would be to drop down to 118, clean it out and still defend his 122 titles. That gives him 2 divisions of fighters as options.Comment

I'd tell him that even though he's a boxer, the casual fans (majority of viewers) want to see action and that he ain't nothing on Floyd unless he stops running and becomes more aggressive. But then his glass would get cracked by anyone who lands a power punch. Just like Mikey Garcia.Comment
