I agree with him, not saying he wins by any means and wouldn't bet in him, but I do think it's be much closer than some on here are saying.

OK. But from business standpoint. AB has a better chance against Peterson than he does against Danny or Provo. So in attempts to rebuild a guy they see as a potential star. Especially when it comes to drawing power. Peterson is the logical route. I'm not talking about AB's ceiling as a fighter. Obviously, that's very much in question at the moment. But his ceiling as a draw is still extremely high. So he's still gonna be matched with that in mind.Comment

I agree if he gets past the first few rounds. Peterson is a bit of a slow starter and seems to always be a target for left hooks for about two three rounds (weird) but seems to settle down and roll with the ounches better as it goes. He'd win a decision as he's so active and doesnt get discouraged by power (thats a great quality to have even if his chin isnt as good as it could be its still not a terrible chin).
I'd roll with Danny but stylistically Peterson brings some interesting dimensions, skill and stamina. I dont think Danny can win a deision unless he gets a kd or two early as Peterson really comes on late and has superb conditioning. I'd feel pretty comfortable saying Danny knocks him down at least once or stops him early in an exchangeComment

Yeah peterson is right,,,
Lucas overran peterson, but danny doesnt possess that style
Peterson wont come charging in like lucas and khan did with danny,, Peterson will look to box and not give garcia a chance to counter
I think danny wins, but it will be close, and danny will really have to work for itComment

In a perfect world, yes. But boxing is a business. And Peterson is very aware of what he is as a fighter. He wasn't competitive with an elite fighter like Bradley. He was completely destroyed by Matthysse. And IMO lost to Khan. And he's 30 now. So its more about making money now. So I have no problem with him holding out for the biggest check possible. I still think GBP is hoping to match him with Broner. And IMO the winner of that one would likely be matched with Matthysse. But since AB wants Chino. I suspect GBP may go ahead and put Peterson in with Matthysse in order to get Lucas a belt. At this point, AB needs the belt a lil more than Matthysse to legitimize himself. So I'm very curious to see how this thing plays out. We shouldn't leave Provodnikov outta the mix. Because he's not contractually tied to Arum even though he's basically a quasi TR fighter. You can put him in with either Peterson or Matthysse. He and Lucas would be a train wreck.Comment
