Washington, DC - Jermell Charlo (23-0, 11 KO’s) of Houston, Tex., who took a step up in opposition with his fight against Philadelphia’s Gabe Rosado (21-8, 13 KO’s), maintained his composure despite immediate pressure from his opponent. In the fifth round, a cut appeared over Rosado’s left eye. Referee Maleek Waleep ruled that a punch did cause the cut however the SHOWTIME replay showed it was caused by an accidental head butt. While the fight continued, Rosado clearly was bothered by the cut. Charlo smothered Rosado’s offense and kept him off of his game plan. Rosado is never going to be elite and I'd be surprised if he won a title. He just doesn't have IT.

Charlo's running / tagging style does not favor Rosado. Rosado needs to pick opponents who are willing to fight. Not only because it fits his style better but also because of that cut that becomes a ticking time bomb and then Rosado needs to change his style into matador mode.

Charlo gets no respect from me though. Such a big mouth and ego yet all he does is run and tag like a sissy. Those type of fighters honestly make me sick. Wish Rosado was given a steel bat after the 6th to go after him. A little overboard BUT those are my honest feelings though, it just irks me.

so in other word Rosado needs a ****** to stand in front of him and just throw punches...well he needs to stop boxing and go to a toughman tournament, then maybe he can actually win a damn fight
