NEW YORK - Tonight Gary Shaw Productions and Antonio Leonard Promotions Bryant "By-By" Jennings (18-0, 10 KOs) remained undefeated in his HBO debut with a 10-round TKO victory over Poland's Artur Szpilka (16-1, 12 KOs).

From the opening round Jennings controlled the action with his superior boxing skills and eventually landed a body shot in round six to take a convincing lead in the fight. As the fight moved on, Jennings kept the pressure on Szpilka and ultimately closed the show with a combination that sent the Polish fighter to the canvas in the final round. The referee seen enough and the bout was halted at the 2:20 mark of round ten.

Try to fight the WBC belt winner if you can get there before Wilder

He should fight Perez next. Would be a good fight. Perez had a bad performance against Takam but i think he will do better again.

How about you beat someone in the top 10 first Bryant?

I'd give Jennings a fair shot at the winner of Arreola-Stiverne.

He impressed me tonight: fine shot selection, from head to body; smooth footwork; a tight guard; and was clearly conditioned for 10+ rounds.

The guy he fought tonight.... Spilka was terrible. just terrible.

I looked into him a bit and it turns out he used to be a cruiserweight, then had like a 2 year layoff and came back a fat 240lb heavyweight

Watching some of his previous fights, this guy was nothing special at all, going the distance with Jameel Mcline and being floored by mike mollo in a fight he did not look impressive in. He also looked laboured against Brian Minto.

Jennings looked pretty good, but you have to put it into context, he was fighting a C level heavyweight.

Moving forward I would like to see Jennings in against a B level heavyweight like Chisora, Perez, Thompson or even Steve Cunningham

After that we can move on to a Povetkin, Pulev or Solis

Povetkin would be too much for Jennings I guess. But this would be a very very interesting fight!

jennings got tagged a lot he's not going very far imo, mike perez is better than him imo, tony thompson is also. It proves that you cant just take up the sport that late even if your an athlete cause his handspeed wasnt there.

Imo it wouldn't be fair that he would get a shot at the winner of Arreola-Stiverne since he hasn't beaten a top 10 HW.

I'm not sure of the WBC rules, but if the winner of Arreola-Stiverne gets a voluntary after, I think it unlikely to be Jennings.
