  • Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia Dominates Reluctnat J.C. Burgos In NYC

It wasn't a spectacular follow up to his stellar 2013 campaign, but Mikey Garcia was effective in dominating Juan Carlos Burgos over 12 rounds Saturday evening at Madison Square Garden Theatre in New York City.

Scores were 118-110 (twice) and 119-109 in favor of Garcia, who made the first successful defense of the 130 lb. title he acquired last November.

For his sake, I hope Glasscia stays at 130 as long as possible. He's hiding some major china.

Good win for Garcia but he best stay far away from Pacquiao... Gamboa should give him a good scrap..

As been said before, Garcia is an overrated.
Gamboa is going to expose him.
        Just provide him that opportunity.

not really impressed. I don't think Mikey can have success above 130. The sharks at 140 would crack his glass as soon as they landed a power punch. His defense is overrated, anyone with a decent counter right hand destroys him. I still think he beats Gamboa, but Gamboa would be a live dog in what would be a battle of the glass.

All it was, was a matchup between 2 boxers. Mikey is just superior.

That's how Burgos fights. This had the makings of a chess match when the fight was signed.

he was just buzzed, he was not in any way hurt, everybody gets hit by something and get wobbled if theyre off balanced or whatever reason i dont believe he has a suspect chin, this guy has great footwork and defense
