This thread may have had some semblance of credibility if Casamayor and PEDboa shared any real traits beyond their nationality and their skin tone.


Casamayor was a much better, more refined boxer than YuROIDkis could ever dream of being, and Garcia was well in this fight at the time of the stoppage.

Casamayor, Hurtado and a few others broke barriers for Cuban fighters in what was a very dark period for Cuban pros. The system over in Cuba diminished the nationalistic 'fandom' for any pro athlete. Casual fanaticism brings in the $$, Cuban boxers don't have this this being the primary reason for it being hard for them to get promoted this cutthroat industry. Don't believe the hype about the boring style being the cause, if you love to see a winner, you appreciate a winning style.

It's very taboo for some of the "experts" you probably know who they are try to talk ill of the "blood and guts fan friendly boxing style"

Mikey might be a bit taller, but yeah it did seem they are pretty even in height. Maybe it was the angle? I think boxrec has Miky listed at 5'7" and Gamboa 5'5"

They are not the same height. Gamboa had stilts and Mikey had a very thin soles on his boxing shoes. But I know Robert Garcia has been dropped more than 10 times and Mikey might hide a similar china in his jaw. Gamboa too is a suspect as far as his chin, but if Gamboa is not trained by his fighter and gets consistent and good sparring Mikey might have trouble with the in and out movement. Cause let's face it Mikey so far has been facing slow to very slow fighters. It's one thing to pick and parry shots of guys who are in front of you, slow and telegraph the punches
