Mayweather doesn't pay fighters based out of the goodness of his heart. The paychecks are based on the popularity of the fighter and the leverage they have at the time.

Bradley is getting huge paydays from Top Rank because Pacquiao and Marquez has a very limited pool to choose from. Bradley has leverage over them because he knows the other options won't bring much money. Mayweather on the other hand is oversupplied with fighters in the Golden Boy stable so he can get good prices on them. Bradley will not bring more PPV buys than Ortiz or Guerrero and he would get paid accordingly. He won't get anywhere near what Pacquiao is paying.

To think he'll get more than Mosley or even JMM got against Mayweather is ridiculous.

        Elaborate?

Ortiz and Guerrero got a low pay day, they were never on PPV before. They likely left with $4-6mill. Guerrero had a guarantee of $3mill, so he likely got another $2-3 mill with PPV

Mayweather got 20% split vs DLH, agreed for Hatton to get full rights to UK PPV, which sold 2.1million. Mosley got a big pay day, Cotto got a huge pay day around $15mill, Canelo made around $12million. Considering who had to get paid in that card, Garcia, Matthysse, Smith, Molina and of course Mayweather, making $12million is a large check.

Considering who has to get paid in Mayweather cards and how much he has to get paid, I don't know how he's a cheapskate. Don't forget having undercards like Canelo vs Mosley(May vs Cotto), Mares vs PDL, Garcia vs Matthysse, ends up costing several million dollars in total. And this is Mayweather's call to put these fighters on his undercards and give them a piece of the PPV pie. So cheapskate? Don't know about that.

What if he loses to Pacquiao? Where is that minimum at? We know Tim does not sell. It is an unrealistic demand. I hope he opts out after his contract expires. If that means no Pacquiao fight then live with it. If he's that good and he thinks he deserves better in the GBP side, then take the Provo or Marquez rematch and call it quits with TR. Arum may have made him into a star but it's Tim's neck on the line in each fight and his future. No man should be deprived of choosing his own path.

I would like him to be a free agent like Cotto. Where he can fight a GBP fighter then works with TR but his manager Camron Dunkin works well with TR.

The key is the guarantee. Yes he can go to Golden Boy and fight better comp but how much is he going to make doing so? He is a talented guy but not very marketable and has no real fanbase. If TR is wiling to guarantee him a higher amount he will fight whoever vs. making less money for riskier fights at Golden Boy.

What bradley is experiencing is what we call; - a good problem. whatever promotional company he chooses; he will be secured for life financially, as long as the money he earned is invested wisely in the future.

At least people are starting to understand what it means for Bradley if he stays with Top Rank. Or any WW fighter for that matter.
