Exactly. Called it. Its disgusting and stops the rightful champion and victor from progressing with his career. Perhaps Froch should lobby the BBBoC, and see if they can pass a belated ruling forcing Groves to rematch DeGale or Anderson.Comment

Groves can't have it both ways. He likes that the IBF uphold his plea for a rematch and order it should take place withing 90 days but doesn't like and won't accept the IBF's designated purse split. Why should Froch give up any of the share of that purse IBF rules say would be his by right?Comment

It's one of those rare cases where the greed of the sanctioning bodies serves the interest of the sport.Comment

With the IBF, if the challenger is number one contender, the champ gets 75% of the pot. Against a lower rated challenger the designated split is 85%/15%. Sure Groves deserves a bigger share given his performance first time up but Froch, as champ, doesn't have to make financial concessions.Comment
