Be interesting to know what these conditions were. Rematches could be some real crappy stuff for all we know. IBF instating Groves as mandatory again means he'd get 25% of split.
"If I didn't want to fight Carl Froch then I wouldn't have invested so much time and money into appealing with the IBF over the dubious outcome of the first fight."
The IBF has since sided with Groves, ordering Froch to face him in a rematch within 90 days.

    ..................................

A 25% split would be about £1.25 million -- according to Hearn's £5 million mentioned figure...

Hearn reveals Groves offered 25/75 split, and the IBF ruling means the challenger will now only get 15/85 instead, so is a backward step.
Why's Groves making smug comments that he was right to decline the offer and terms, now the IBF has sided with him then?

I read the IBF release, it cites,'Inappropriate conduct' by referee Howard Foster, as their reason for calling for Froch-Groves 2 #boxing

Absolute bull**** from the IBF. Again, it's different rules for different fighters.

IBF has been the best sanctioning body lately with the exception of letting Peterson keep his belt after testing positive.

Yeah, Groves ****ed himself. 25/75 was completely fair, although there might be some draconian options on him, which may suck.

Were it true Groves was offered only 25% of something, he wisely rejected it. The last I checked it takes 2 men to fight. If Froch is so special, perhaps he does not need an opponent at all? Why does he not attempt to sell a fight punching himself? Now that would be real master-class!

End of the day, George Groves ran his mouth, now he is out there, if he does well in his next two fights he has a good future. Anyhow, he needed Froch badly in this fight.
