I thought there was an article earlier this week where Mikey said he didn't care about pfp list or he hadn't done enough yet.

    Here it is

Anyway, he will be there in the near future. The kid is good.

Mikey Garcia ain't there yet. He's getting there, but needs a top win or two. Guys like Uchiyama and Gamboa would be helpful. Maybe the winner of Vazquez Shafikov.

I really think this p4p list comes down to being popular and having good promoters...some people look at fighters based on skills,i look at fighters based on who they have beaten,i don't care if a fighter has skills like Floyd but if he's putting those skills up against trash then whats the point?,i'll take an avg fighter beating good fighters as a top 10 p4p,it's what you do,who you beat that should put you on that list, and Garcia so far has beaten respectable opponents, not great ones,if he were to beat uchiyama and another quality fighter at 130 then I would put him at 10 on the list,

didn't see that fight, didn't know he got dropped, must have been his last fight, but he has the movement to stay away,he knows he has to move, box to win this fight and I think if he doesn't get desperate or loses focus he can win, although mikey hits hard he can get hit too, actually I think burgos has faced good fighters, hasegawa, rocky, cruz,he's not inexperienced, something about that salido fight that I say mikey kind of nervous after salido was coming on,mikey was uncomfortable,i just think burgos can pull off the upset, actually I wouldn't really look at it as an upset, burgos is pretty good

Nah the fight was like 3 or 4 fights ago. It was on ESPN. I used to like Burgos actually but something turned me off about him. Can't remember what now. Not sure if it was from the Cruz fight or what. He did face a bigger and more active Martinez and didn't get hurt at all. Idk...

If they feel HE IS SO GOOD... why aren't they saying "we feel he can go up against Mayweather"???? just because you say "pacquaio" in the same sentence all of a sudden they think someone is on the pound for pound list?? GTFO....
when it comes out of your OWN MOUTH.. not your handlers... and you challenge mayweather and/or pacquiao... then you're really "trying" to be the best... none of this b.s. "ya I'm up there with the best names"... who the **** joins this sport to be "almost" "as good" as the best?

either you're the best or you just stfu about being the best..(that would mean telling your handlers to also stfu) nothing against Mikey Garcia.. he is good... but I'm tired of people like him ( not necessarily himself but the people around him)... same think with Danny Garcia... I'm tired of how his dad walks around saying "HE'S THE BEST" .... then ****in' grab your balls and call out MAYWEATHER! ya didn't think so!

Pound for pound is something that is opened to everyone's different interpretation and everyone has a different opinion so everyone's pound for pound list is different. If Mikey feels like he's one of the best then that's great because he's allowed to have his own opinion and hopefully he uses it to be even more confident and take on more difficult fights.
