Theres no shame to losing to a fighter like Tony Thompson who is actually a decent Heavyweight. He's 6'6,has a solid chin, good boxing skills and has above average power for a fighter of his height.Has a Pro record of 24-1.I think he would give any Heavyweight problems.

Of course, the typical fan like yourself wouldn't know this.

Sorry smart ass. I know who Tony Thompson is. He's fought nobody besides Vaughn Bean who may or may not be shot. For the record he has no power. He's nothing to get excited about.

Atleast until he gets a fight on HBO or Showtime so blind fans like you will finally get a chance to see how good some fighters really are.I bet you're one of them fans that go to BoxRec and look at a fighters record and automaticly assume that a fighter sucks just because he wins a few Majority decisions and loses to another unknown fighter.

Many doubted Glen Johnsons chance against both RJ and Tarver, because he had 9losses,but he ended up winng both.Just shows you that a Pro fighters record isn't the whole story.

I have no problem with his early loss and his only MD was his first fight, so I don't know where you are coming from. The fact of the matter is that he's fought no one and he has no power. He needs to actually beat a top 30 fighter before you should start showering him with your praise. Johnson has nothing to do with this, and it just shows how shot RJJ is and how overrated Tarver is.
