This fight turned out to be Canelo/Mosley 2.0. It was one-sided, which will impress some viewers. Canelo did great with the opponent he was given, but I'm more interested in finding out who's next. Angulo offered relatively little, a human punching bag. The next opponent probably won't be that easy.

YOU watch tonight's fight again. You'll see Angulo backing Canelo up more than the other way around. Fight just happened and you already forgot.

Canelo got backed up, but there is a big difference between backing someone up and taking advantage of it and being backed up when you don't want to. Lara didn't want to move so much and get backed into the ropes so much. Canelo moved when he wanted, fought when he wanted, and backed Angulo up when he wanted. Angulo was fighting his fight against Lara, Lara was not fighting his fight. Canelo fought his fight tonight. He did what he wanted and that included taking minimal damage, dishing it out and not allowing Angulo to gather any momentum as he was able to against Lara.

Anyway, Im sure you'll convince yourself of whatever you feel necessary for whatever reason you want. Like this fight being fixed. Somehow, instead of looking at what happened you'll just see what you want. You'll ignore the poor bastard taking damn near a full fight of brutally clean, hard punches to the face, getting his face rearranged and yet still trying to win as proof of a fixed fight, just because he couldn't hurt Canelo and because the ref stopped it too early. Well done.

Malignaggi hit the nail on the head. He was like, I'd be pissed off too but on the other hand you had Mago, the HW, who was allowed to finish a fight that he had no chance of winning and then he collapsed after the fight. He had to go to the emergency room and will never fight again, will never be the same man again. Weeks had seen Angulo take damage for 9 straight rounds and had no chance of winning barring a KO and that wasn't going to happen. It's better to let him go home to his daughter, whom he obviously loves so much.

IMO, Angulo got trashed for the entire fight....it could have been considered a "premature" stoppage but he had little to no chance to win and Canelo had destroyed his face.

You can make some good posts when it's not about Bradley or Martinez.

If you want to argue fixed stick with the Trout/Canelo farce in Texas.

Tonight was just a good old fashioned ass kicking.
