Correct me if I'm wrong, network contract deals

But those are only for exclusive broadcasting rights in the U.S isn't it?

If so, what's stopping fighters from making fights outside the U.S?
Monaco did some kind of online PPV for Golovkin's last fight and the Monaco Millionaire tourney....what's stopping this?

    American PPV

I don't know if this is before or after a network deal was struck though

Nothing at all. Fighters would rather sit out and spar for 6-9 months rather than fight stay busy fights

Just sit and wait and hope for the big shot, and then complain they never get a big shot.

Golovkin should build up his presence in Germany so he can hold fights there outside HBO.

Monaco is good, but only 900 seats

Gennady probably has a big following in Germany.

Not a bad idea at all

If he built a bigger following there, a Sturm fight would be bigger than any other fight...dude already lives there.
            Of course, Sturm scared shitless
